At our early meetings we spent some time getting to know each other and organising the roles that people will take on. For our display in school we have all written a little bit about ourselves so people know a bit more about us. We thought it would be good to share on our blog too:
I am Esther and I am a school councillor. I like being on school council.
I am Justin and I am in school council. I like learning especially maths, but literacy is my favourite.
I am Hashim and I am a Pride of Prince Edward. I like ice-skating and I don’t fell over much, I am quite the professional.
My name is Jodi and I am looking forward to being on the school council because I have never experienced it before. My favourite colour is pink and my hobbies are sewing and bowling. I love animals but my favourite is ANY type of dog!
Hello, I Kimai T. I am looking forward to the year 2017-2018. My favourite thing to do is read books. My favourite book is Matilda by Roald Dahl.
I am David. I like playing with my puppy because she is cute.
I’m Ellie and I’m really excited to be on the school council because, together, we can make change happen. We will make sure our school stays a happy and safe place to be. I like the book Matilda and I love going to Steelers and our mascot is Steeler Dan.
My name is Cayleigh a.k.a Chatterbox. I love talking, playing on electronics and playing on my trampoline.
I’m Finley and I am really looking forward to all of the meetings as I want to change school for the better. I have been a member of school council in the past.

My name in Riley and I like singing karaoke. I am looking forward to making decisions for the school. Last time I was school council I did a really good job.
My name is Abdullah and I am eight, I’ll be nine soon. I enjoy making videos for YouTube and I have two of my own YouTube channels.
My name is Sophia and I love to go out and play with play with my friends. I like to go out with teachers on school trips. At school I like to learn and we’ve been learning about Explorers.

School council helped our school raise a significant amount of money for Macmillan cancer support. They had to prepare before the day and be on hand to set up in the morning. Each of them work really hard to make the event a success. Well done!
